Every child is an artist (and computer science engineer)!

Aloha GWC families and Coders! Thank you for an ARTFUL session today!

Here's a glimpse of the fun we had!

Team Coding Station: CodeyRocky Bot! Students worked in small teams to program optical sensors to recognize defined color gradients and then respond as designed (with lights, sounds, text, and movement!) Coders successfully programmed 6 colors and then went on to train the sensors to react to complex imagery (must contain up to three specified colors). WOW! Way to achieve and explore! I am so proud of you!

Individual Coding Stations: Our independent coding activities included Sphero Art (back by popular demand!), Scratch Bounce Paint, and JUMI Bot! Students demonstrated peer teaching today as they helped others with these activities, we have future STEM educators in our club!

I especially enjoyed how kind and patient we were with one another today, sharing paint, iPads, Spheros, and robots. Everyone received a turn to try out the fun! Check out what we accomplished!

Congratulations to all of our Coders for a very successful and creative start to our day! Parents, I always appreciate your help and patience, we are a continued success because of your efforts too! Check your email for our Girls Who Code Club party in March! See everyone at the next session! ^__^
